1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Alteri (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
Alteri is a browser-based PDF editing tool that allows you to upload, view, edit, annotate, and download PDF documents. All file processing occurs entirely within your web browser. Your PDF files are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and promptly update it if it changes.
4. Payment and Subscriptions
Alteri offers paid subscription plans. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees for your selected plan. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. All sales are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us within 14 days of the transaction.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of any documents you edit using Alteri. We claim no rights over your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is the intellectual property of Alteri and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations. You may not attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service, reverse-engineer any part of the Service, or use automated means to access it without our permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alteri shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Paris, France.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with the updated date. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
